When I was younger I had so many
I learned how to recognize a blood clot. It is like a red inflamed
piece of small cord. It is relatively hard and very tender to the
touch. You can have a little pain with it also. Basically it is a
red line where the vein or artery is located. The size of the vessel
is what determines the size of the red cord like area.
I asked the doctor what now?
He said that the body would probably reabsorb the clot back into the
body in a few months to a year. I had an ulterior motive in asking
that question and trying to make him give me a time frame My
reason I has Nattokinase at home because I had tried it previously
as a chelation therapy. . He stated further "there really is no way
to tell how long but his experience told him at my age it could hang
around for over a year". He further stated for me to wear my tight
fitting knee high socks to help the return blood flow and to help
keep the inflammation and swelling down.
I started
to take Nattokinase immediately upon reaching home. I took four capsules twice a day.
This amounted to a total of 8000 FU per day or in milligrams it was
800mg per day. The capsule I take also includes 900mg of hawthorn
berry or 7200mg a day.
As I write this article it is
September 10 2008 approximately 60 days after my doctors
appointment. My blood clot appears completely gone. There is no more
inflammation, swelling or pain. There still remains a slight bit of
hardness in the vessel area. I will continue to take the Nattokinase
for at least two more months and then reevaluate.
Before we get to the science
and explanation of what is Nattokinase I have to be honest here.
This is not a hype web site. I am not sure of course that the
Nattokinase was responsible for the rapid dissolving blood clot. I
am on a rather wide ranging nutritional supplement program so this
could have affected it. Also my body could have gained the ability
to absorb this clot at a faster than normal pace. There is as always
a great deal of controversy about this nutrient. Just as in
Chelation Therapy there are MD's for it and MD's against it.
