What is Chelation Therapy??
Chelation is a natural process, constantly taking place in our bodies, without which life would be impossible. Chelation is one mechanism by which such common substances as aspirin, antibiotics, vitamins, minerals and trace elements work in our bodies. The Chelation mechanism is a chemical process in which a substance (in this case EDTA) is used to bind molecules, such as lead, mercury, zinc, and calcium, hold them tightly so that they can be removed from a system, such as our bodies.

EDTA Chelation therapy is a form of detoxification that means the EDTA (called a chelator or chelating agent) actively grabs the unwanted lead, mercury, zinc, and calcium binds it on two sides in a claw-like fashion and either inactivates it or helps remove it from the body.

Chelation Therapy

Chelation therapy is neither quackery nor miracle. This therapy however, has been proven by millions of people and the positive effect it has had on many forms of circulation problems. Chelation therapy is very often the catalyst for people to change to a healthier way of living. Both IV and Oral Chelation reaches every blood vessel in the body, from the largest artery to the tiniest capillary and arteriole, most of which are far too small or too deep within the brain or other organ to be safely reached in surgery.

IV Chelation therapy is a series of intravenous infusions containing disodium EDTA combined with vitamins and minerals EDTA can also be taken orally. It is usually recommended that you examine both your diet and exercise habits for changes that may be necessary to compliment the chelation therapy. The purpose of all types of Chelation therapy is to remove toxic metals and improve circulation. A course of therapy involves anywhere from 10 to 50 treatments, depending on the medical condition of the patient.

Intravenous EDTA Chelation Therapy for the detoxification of Heavy Metals has been in Continuous use since the 1940's when it was introduced specifically for the treatment of Lead poisoning and has been used on literally millions of people with no known side effects. Read History

Yet no one wants to study this treatment for two very basic reasons. 1. There is no money in it for large pharmaceutical companies or the universities which do the research and 2.If we find or use real inexpensive therapies many people will lose jobs and a great deal of money from lost surgical procedures. For example a stent operation for someone I know in 2007 cost $63,000 and for a triple or quad by pass it is $120,000 to $150,000.

However some research is being done. The use of EDTA chelation therapy as a treatment for coronary artery disease is currently being studied by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, but no claims or findings are expected before 2009.

Chelation is now in reach financial for almost anyone. This is especially true if you consider our oral chelation supplement. It is true that many people however can not afford IV chelation but oral chelation is 1/10 the cost and over times seems to be very effective as well. There are many members of the medical community that recommend EDTA to 100's of patients annually. See Our Oral Chelation Supplement

Oral Chelation is taking EDTA by mouth. Usually this is in capsule form and sometimes in liquid form.

IV Chelation therapy is a series of intravenous infusions containing disodium EDTA combined with vitamins and minerals EDTA can also be taken orally.
